As a sister who lost her older brother to suicide, I appreciate Dennis’ perspective on sibling grief. It adds another layer to this complicated, tumultuous road of suicide grief. I am also grateful for his poignant and direct address to men. It has been 25 years since my brother died by suicide (the same number of years that Dennis said he has been sober). Just like Dennis, I have dedicated my life to averting suicide attempts and preventing death by suicide. My specialty is high-risk occupations of police, fire, EMS, and corrections. (I met John at a firefighter conference in Florida several years ago where we were both speaking.) Thank you for this podcast; it affirmed many of the concepts I teach and introduced me to new ideas.
