“We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.” – Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture
Sometimes in life, we’re dealt a difficult hand of cards.
At times like this, it’s nice to have someone to lean into and ask for thoughts on what to do next.
I really understood this a few years back when I first began speaking professionally. Almost immediately I began receiving emails from new friends around the world asking for advice about how to live inspired: in their relationships, health, work and life.
This month, Parade Magazine’s Community Table site asked me to begin sharing an ASK JOHN question-answer column each Tuesday.
I’m thrilled to have the opportunity for our Live Inspired. community to get to connect in this way! Here’s the gist:
1. Our community members send questions (info@JohnOLearyInspires.com).
2. I answer one question each Tuesday morning.
3. You review and add additional advice, insights and encouragement in the comments.
4. Our friend who asked the question (and those who will have this question in the future) have this as a resource for encouragement on how to overcome challenges and: Live Inspired.
GET EXCITED! Leave a comment on any October Ask John post and you’ll be entered to WIN A FREE advanced reader copy of my book ON FIRE. I’ll mail the winner his/her copy of the book on 11/1, four months before it’s released! (I can only give away one a month through February. Don’t miss out!)

My friend, choose to play the hand you are dealt in life with joy, compassion and love…and take time to encourage others to do the same. [Tweet this.]
This is your day. Live Inspired.
