A Lesson on Learning to Love Yourself

Poet Oscar Wilde wrote, “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.”

Our relationship with ourselves sets the bar for all other relationships in our lives. Yet so few of us can say we truly love and are happy with ourselves.

Earlier this month, I met a young woman who is struggling, like many of us, with looking for love in the embrace, words, and attention of others, rather than first looking for love within herself. So today’s #LiveInspired vlog reminds each of us that lifelong romance begins by quietly, calmly, and peacefully learning first to love ourselves, scars and all.

In doing that, it will start to attract other remarkable things and people into our lives.
