Michele – I was working as a CPA for many years and felt the same as you.  Like you, I prayed for guidance and then I also read The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.  It helped me decide my path.  I got a Masters in my late 40’s and am now working part-time in a field that I have long loved.  Good luck!
